iTV με φωνητικό έλεγχο και χειρονομίες (;)

Η καναδέζικη εφημερίδα Globe and Mail αναφέρει σήμερα με δημοσίευμα της ότι η Apple συνεργάζεται με τις εταιρείες Rogers και Bell για την επερχόμενη iTV.

Συγκεκριμένα, το δημοσίευμα αναφέρει ότι η Apple ψάχνεται για συνεργάτες με wireless και broadband δυνατότητες με τις Rogers και Bell να διαθέτουν ήδη το προϊόν στα εργαστήριά τους.

Επίσης, αναφέρεται για μια ακόμη φορά η υποστήριξη του Siri ως μέσο ελέγχου της τηλεόρασης με φωνητικές εντολές αλλά και με χειρονομίες. Μάλιστα, θα υπάρχει και on-screen πληκτρολόγιο για άνετο σερφάρισμα στο διαδίκτυο, βίντεο συνομιλίες κτλπ.

The product reportedly integrates Siri, Apple’s voice-recognition software that acts as a personal assistant on the latest iPhone, into television sets to help viewers make programming choices.
Viewers can then control the TV by voice or hand gestures, all from the comfort of a couch. An on-screen keyboard, meanwhile, can also be activated in a similar manner, allowing viewers to surf the web, conduct video chats and use social media sites such as Twitter and Facebook – all without any physical interface.
